Ice Universe suggests this upgrade will make the glass even tougher, and it will retain its anti-reflective coating. Moving on to brightness, there’s good news for users who crave enhanced visibility under bright conditions. The peak brightness is upgraded to 3,000 nits, which is 400 nits brighter than its predecessor. Thanks to thinner bezels, a stunning 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display graces the device, making the viewing experience even more immersive.

Regarding software, the next model will support Android’s Seamless Updates—a highly convenient feature. This means system updates will now install entirely in the background, allowing users to continue using their devices uninterrupted. Once the installation is complete, a simple reboot applies the update, cutting downtime significantly.

Running on One UI 7, the device brings significant advancements in artificial intelligence. Key updates include an enhanced Bixby with large language model capabilities and support for Google’s Gemini Nano LLM for AI-driven tools. Sources also suggest the S25 Ultra may include a car crash detection feature using an accelerometer, GPS, and sensors to detect impacts and call for help. Currently under development, this could position Samsung alongside Apple and Google, which already offer similar systems.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor or the Exynos 2500, depending on the region, offering top-tier performance. On the storage front, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will stick with UFS 4.0, the same fast storage standard as its predecessor. While there’s a wishful hope for an upgrade to UFS 4.1 for marginal gains in AI-related tasks, major improvements won’t arrive until UFS 5.0 becomes commercially viable, which is anticipated a few years down the line. According to an X user, Camera includes a 200MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultrawide lens with enhanced detail capture. The telephoto system comprises a 50MP lens with 5x hybrid optical zoom and a 10MP periscope sensor offering 3x hybrid optical zoom.

There’s one notable gap in the new offering: the lack of a “Find My Device when turned off” feature. This feature has been available on iPhones for years and has now made its way to Google’s Pixel series.
